Tracey: Hey, I’m Tracey
Michelle: And I’m Michelle
Tracey: And we are from Pop Blitz Magazine. Today we are talking with pop/rock singer Chris Trousdale. Chris, can you please introduce yourself?
Chris: Hey, what’s up you guys? This is Chris Trousdale. I’m also here with Anna Sundstrand. What’s up Anna?
Anna: Hey! What’s up?
Tracey: Hey Anna. We have been flooded with messages from your fans. Lets start off with some of their questions. The first one has a little message with it:
Hi Chris. First I just wanna say I love your music, and I have been a fan ever since I saw you in Dream Street in concert. I just wanna thank you for inspiring me to keep going with music and my singing group. So thank you so much! My question is, when is your CD coming out? (Jawna)
Chris: Thank you very much! I’m so happy I inspired you. It’s really great to hear that. My CD, it comes out, hopefully this summer and I hope to get it out very soon. I hope to be traveling the country and letting everyone hear my music, and let everyone know about my CD. So, hopefully very soon.
Tracey: How has your sound changed from Dream Street? (Rose)
Chris: My voice has matured so much. So therefore, so has my music. I’ve matured a lot. My fans have grown up a little too. But still keeping my younger fans in mind, my music hasn’t gone too far with the maturity. But it’s still very me. It’s very much my age now and my voice has gotten a lot better. It improved so much and I take pride in that. So, I’m a true singer now. But, I still dance. My dancing has even improved more. So, my music and my dancing has dramatically matured a lot.
Michelle: Awesome
Tracey: We haven’t, me and Michelle haven’t seen you since Dream Street ‘cause you haven’t flown to Minnesota since then.
Michelle: Yeah
Tracey: So you need to get a Minnesota show out here.
Chris: (Laughs) I would love to do a show in Minnesota!
Tracey: Michelle, go.
Michelle: We haven’t seen you since the Aaron Carter show back in 2002.
Chris: Wow!
Michelle: Yeah.
Chris: So long ago! 4 years ago.
Tracey: So I think you’ve probably changed a lot.
Chris: Yeah, I got a little bit older.
Tracey: Just a bit.
Chris: Just a little, just a little.
Tracey: (Laughs) What was the hardest song for you to record? (Meagan)
Chris: Uhm…the hardest song for me to record was…I don’t know, Louie what do you think? “When You Dance With Me.” There was a lot of feeling to it, a lot of emotion in it. It was really dramatic for me. You know “When You Dance With Me”, have you heard it yet?
Tracey: No
Chris: It’s a good ballad. It has a Spanish guitar in it and it’s very soft, and it’s very…I don’t know. It’s just very emotional. It was very hard to get into it. It was really hard.
Michelle: It sounds pretty good.
Chris: It was really hard ‘cause yeah.
Tracey: First of all, I think Connecticut misses you a lot. My question is, if you had the chance to be in any movie that you wanted, and were able to decide what kind of role you were to play, what would you chose and why? (Samantha)
Chris: If I could play another role in a movie, it would probably be something like a “Mission Impossible” theme, something like that, where I was an undercover secret agent man. (sings intro) It’d be something like that. I’d have guards going all around being all M.I. What is his name? What does he do? What’s that place he works for? I don’t know, but it would be like top secret stuff.
Tracey: Okay, is there any reason why?
Chris: Because it’s really fun to kick people’s butts, wear sunglasses, and put bombs in buildings to blow things up. And it’s fun to rescue hott girls, and fall in love, and have love scenes.
Michelle: Fun.
Chris: Yep.
Tracey: (laughing) He says that like he has a lot of experience doing those.
Michelle: (laughing) Yeah.
Tracey: Yeah, yesterday I went in this building and I rescued them.
Chris: Oh, you did?
Tracey: No, I was talking about you.
Chris: Okay then.
Tracey: Yeah, that’s actually what me and Michelle did yesterday.
Michelle: (laughs) Yeah.
Chris: (laughs)
Tracey: What is your daily life schedule when your not on tour? (Christina)
Chris: My daily life schedule is to rehearse, rehearse, rehearse. I go Monday, Wednesday, Friday, sometimes until 10. Sometimes just twice a week, you know. I’ll go in for 3 hours, but I’ll always rehearse, get my body and voice into shape. Then, I’ll go out on the weekends, and have fun with some of my friends, catch up. And that’s about, that’s my schedule for now. Just keep working hard.
Tracey: Sounds fun.
Michelle: Fun.
Tracey: What is the most outrageous rumor you've ever heard about yourself? (Nina)
Chris: Sorry?
Tracey: What is the most outrageous rumor you've ever heard about yourself? (Nina)
Chris: I don’t know, I really don’t listen to rumors too much. I’m not online enough, where I get into the chat rooms, and I hear a rumor. But it would probably be that (laughs) I don’t even know. What have I heard about me, I don’t know, I don’t know. You give me a rumor and I’ll tell you if it’s crazy or not. No, I’m kidding. Next question, that’s a bad one.
Tracey: K, I don’t think you want to go there.
Michelle: Yeah.
Tracey: We’ve heard some crazy rumors, we don’t even want to repeat them.
Chris: Oh I bet. Most of them are that I married some girl, and I’m going to have her baby. They live in Texas somewhere, they get out a lot.
Tracey: Oh really you do?
Chris: This ex-girlfriend of mine and I dumped her, and they’ll always be standing off to the side at autograph signings. All these girls, see me, and they think I’m dating you. Like, I’m not dating you. I get a lot of that stuff. Pretty much all I hear.
Tracey: So how are your kids in Texas doing?
Chris: My kids in Texas are great.
Michelle: (laughs)
Chris: I pay child support every month. They’re doing good.
Tracey: That’s good.
Chris: Oh, god.
